- I burned out of travelling for a bit.
I burned out of travelling for a bit.
or why I'm so excited about Lombok
I burned out of travelling for a bit.
even changed my flights to Lombok.
Two days earlier.
yeah, it makes a difference.
I wanted 4, but flight got fully booked while I was on the phone.
Ugh.

look how cute this place in Athens is.
It’s not like I dislike Athens.
It’s just that I’m too excited about Lombok now.
And I’m also so tired of travelling.
For now.
Do you know that feeling, when you only realise how hungry you were, the moment you start eating?
I stayed in Bansko, Bulgaria for 4 weeks in total.
Left to Kyrgyzstan in between, but came back.
Magical.
Having your 4 walls.
To know the bars where to go.
Not constantly looking on maps and being lost.
Having your people around.
That are there. whatever happens. they are just there.
That’s so weird, this is exactly what I escaped as I left home.
This lame stability.
This “known” and boring.
You know how they say, you only start valuing after loosing?
Well, I never lost it.
I gave it away. Exchanged it.
Experienced. Developed. Learned from it.
And now I want it back.
Slowly.
The way I want it.
The last year is described well with this sentence:
“I keep learning the same lessons, but in different domains.”
It’s a spiral up.
Still going in circles, but every time a bit higher up.
Promising!
Now imagine what waits for me in Lombok, and you will understand:

Christians quote about Lombok
Gym.
Coffee.
The waves.
A surf-board.
Belonging.
Talks into the night.
Likeminded people.
A powerful community of entrepreneurs.
The most amazing sunsets.
THIS coffee-shop around the corner.
THIS street that I’m taking for a walk.
A routine.
Stability.
I booked flights home to Germany, as I was in Cyprus.
Hug mum and dad last time before I left.
Felt right.
But also painful to click the “pay” button.
I’m tired!

it was so good being home!

If you wanna know what I packed this time for my Asia trip, check out the video here
I’m pretty sure it’s just a phase.
I will travel again, initially.
The next destination is already booked.
Chiang Mai awaits in November!
Also for 2 whole months.
And honestly, I might just come back to Lombok and book something for a year.
Doesn’t bind me staying there for a year.
But having a base.
Maybe.
Let’s see.
SO excited about Nomad Nexus.
SO excited about creating content about the island.
SO excited to surf again.
SO excited to run, box, bench, sweat the shit out, back to my “Asia-form” again!
ARGH! This will be good.
And staying in Athens now feels like a one night stand.
Investing in something I’m gonna leave anyway.
Maybe too excited about Lombok!
Or maybe just the perfect time to slow down.
That’s it for today, I will go up the stairs now and enjoy the music with beautiful Lotus and Giorgios.
Cheers,
Danny.
P.S.: that was intimate. thanks for sticking here.
