The Real Story Behind Building Nomad Nexus
Leaving Paphos.
A bit painful, insightful and bright trip.
Today:
Trying to reverse-psychology my actions
How friends support results in growth
I’m flying 1.5 months prior to Lombok (in 14 days!!)

Granny and I on the last day together.
Song recommendation for today's read: Comptine d'un autre été: l'après-midi - Yann Tiersen
btw - you can get some live insights on my personal instagram account here!
Grandma being here and talking about our family and relationships made me think:
“It makes so much sense that I’m building Nomad Nexus.”
Divorced parents.
Parted family in 3 different countries.
I never felt like I have my people around.
Every time I share me with friends, I feel happy.
Seeing people come together and enjoy fulfils me.
I want to have one place for family and friends.
Meeting each other randomly at the beach.
Meeting up at that restaurant.
Having them near.
Kids.
Always wanted kids.
Why am I telling you all this?
The drive - this is the real behind the scenes of building this.
Not the exact actions I’m taking.
But way more why and what for.
How friends support results in growth
I’m writing this from an airport lounge in Paphos.
AC makes me shiver, (free) coffee addiction gets fueled.
My flight to Athens got delayed, of course.
Avnea helps remote workers reconnect and grow through authentic co-living & community experiences.
Lotus’ expertise on the topic of retreats is crazy.
We just had a call last week, where she motivated me and shared some strategy.
And she’s also just a lovely human being to be around with!
I planned to stay in Athens for two weeks, but time with my grandma made me buy tickets back home for a few days.
Hug mum. Spend time with family.
Last week was huge in terms of recognition and proof of demand to me.
I met Michelle Coulson from RemoteRebellion in Sinaia, Romania.

Sinaia Nomad Experience, Goncalo’s project - place where Nomad Nexus was born.
Michelle and I reconnected at the Bansko Nomad Fest together with other beautiful humans.

we did a mastermind session with friends, where Michelle boomed our minds with LinkedIn knowledge!
She offered her help, promoting Nomad Nexus in her community.
So she did-

the email that made me jump across the room
2 hours after the first post in RR’s instagram story I get this email.
A member of her community asked for a discount code for Nomad Nexus!
This means - there is DEMAND.
So much interest, that somebody asks for a DISCOUNT CODE!
This is super bottom of the funnel - if you ever get somebody asking for a discount code, they are probably gonna buy from you (even without one).
Big shoutout to Michelle and her team for supporting me and sharing the word about Nomad Nexus.
If you are reading this newsletter, you might work a 9-5.
If you’ve ever thought of getting out of home sometime or maybe even trying out the full nomadic lifestyle - get Michelles free guide on how to get a remote job HERE.
And, as a reader of this newsletter, here is a 10% discount code for your booking with Nomad Nexus (which brings the price down for the whole 14 days including accommodation from 700€ to only 630€) - “NEWSLETTER10” - apply your code here!
Many other amazing friends shared the word in their communities or IRL, too. Thank you!!!

🥹 Andreas - thank you!

My buddy Chris from RemoteBase even shared it with his 5000 readers newsletter 🥺 (subscribe if you want to save BIG TIME on amazing AirBnBs!
All of this wouldn’t be possible without friends & family.
And that’s exactly what Nomad Nexus is about.
Human interaction, support, community, love.
Im flying to Lombok in 14 days!
I’m super excited!
Retreat starts on October 16th.
Before that, I’m going to scout the whole island, manage and book activities, create a bunch of content, check the accommodation, give every co-working and coffeeshop a real-life nomad test and prepare everything for an amazing experience.
All of that with my lovely friends from travel2rescue - Eileen & Fynn started rescuing dogs and helping animal shelters in Bali, moved now to Lombok and do mass-castrations, helping street-dogs on the island.

Here they are a year ago in Lovina, Bali, making pictures of dogs for their website.
They do all of that in Lombok completely by themselves.
They already have castrated over 400 dogs in Lombok.
Hours of work organising vets and helpers, catching dogs and taking care of them.
It costs 30€ to castrate one dog and has more impact than shelters long-term.
Thank you for reading this far.
I appreciate every second of your attention and support.
It means the world to me!
ANSWER TO THIS EMAIL - I will read it!!!
Cheers.
Danny.
