Finally arrived in Lombok.

and made a substantial change to the retreat

Finally arrived in Lombok.

Athens felt long.

Friends made my stay comfy and pleasant, but I still rescheduled flights to Lombok and left 2 days early.

Giorgos and Lotus at lunch

Athens - Singapore - Jakarta and finally..

Very exhausted, but also very happy!

On the plan:

  1. Gym

  2. good coffee

  3. community

  4. surf

  5. Nomad Nexus!

but first - recharge.

We went for groceries an hour ago, and everything looked again so different to Europe - I almost forgot it’s my stay for the next two months from now.

Like, long.

Nice.

That’s what I wanted.

Today’s gonna be a short one - one important change I made to NN two days ago:

lander copy and CTAs changed to “Book a call”

Booking a call with me first, in order book the ticket.

After analysing user behaviour on the website, and looking over the copy once more, I felt like the arrangement of the sections is weird.

The “Your Host” section was so long and purely about my story - which is not quite selling the retreat, rather selling me.

But it’s not about me.

It’s about bringing cool , ambitious people together.

And so that everybody vibes and feels comfortable, I want to get to know each one briefly to see if the vibe and values matches, before selling a ticket.

Makes sense?

And it also gives the opportunity to say: “okay, sounds great, but I just wanna make sure before committing for 14 days.”

Most other nomad retreats do it this way.

There was no specific reason for direct-booking.

I needed a quick answer to proceed in my head, you know, to get it off the list - this is dealt with!

I repeatedly find myself in situations with my own projects, where I feel like I lack reflection and distance from myself.

A fresh, non-biased view from the outside to criticise and question.

Let’s proceed with that for now :)

I’ll head to bed now; can’t write anything solid anyway.

Gonna post a lot more on the Nomad Nexus Instagram in the next weeks, make sure to follow along!

Cheers,

Danny.
